Okay, so I'm still working out the bugs with this whole blog thing. Let's all pretend that last post isn't taking up space here 'cause I don't know how to delete it just now.
Anyway... Don't you just love dogs? I'm sure everyone says this about their own dog, but I've got the smartest dog on the planet. Her name is Sally, and she's a hoot. When she was about six months old I took her out back with me berry picking. No leash. She was free to run as she pleased. There's a lot of land to explore and disappear on, but she likes me. Go figure. Stayed right with me. Right next to me.
So I'm picking away, filling my bucket, and she's got her nose in the bushes next to me. I figured she was sniffing up a woodchuck or something, and didn't really pay much attention. Finally, after she kept at it, I got curious and took a closer look. There she was picking berries with her mouth and eating them!

Dear dear what to blog about? This is all very new! Let's go with the theme, on the positive side. Here's a what if:
What if you're a regular Jane and you're sitting in the library doing some work minding your own business when some curly Joe dressed in tighty tight black jeans and blacker than black pristine canvas tennis shoes, calls you ugly, remarks on the scowl you didn't know you had, and tells you he hopes you're not studying to be a teacher because you'd surely scare the children? What do you do?
I'll tell you:
First, there's no way you can possibly get all bent about it, because you're so shocked you can't think straight. Never before has anyone mysteriously appeared from the stacks at the library and assailed you with a litany of insults. Your face is blank, you're eyes wide as you try to comprehend. You flash your best idiot smile and try to make nice. Perhaps this strange black creature is joking or is an acquaintance from a party and now he's being a jerk because he doesn't know how to be funny and thinks he is.
But then that feeling like a stone lodging in the back of your throat tells you that nothing positive is going on here. The guy sneers and slithers away, and that's when it sinks in that this is for real. What do you do?
....................... ahhh.... more later.

Sometimes high school sophomore, Pen Shakes, wishes she were dead.
After all, her sister is a ghost. But could someone else be drawing Pen to the netherworld?
I'd like to announce the upcoming arrival of my teen novel, GHOSTED, a paranormal romance due out very soon. I'm hoping for a May or June, 2012 release date, at which time the book will be available at the publisher's site http://museituppublishing.com/, Amazon, Barnes & Noble etc. in both ebook and soft cover.
Thanks to Suzannah Safi www.design.suzannahsafi.com for such a beautiful cover.
